Now you've created some time and space.....
Let's smash out our goals!
Thank you for the response to my last article where I aimed to help you take more control back of your diary. I am convinced most people can take significant strides to move in the direction of creating a high performance diary. Then it is about discipline, being clear what you say ‘yes’ and ‘no’ too, along with the ability to prioritise effectively.
👉Let’s all prioritise around the achievement of our goals!!
👉I reworked my 10 steps to goal success today, so here you go:
1) Write out your goal - repeat this step at least once per day. ✍️🦅✍️
2) Challenge yourself:
How committed are you to achieving this goal?
Have I been aspirational and bold enough?
Have I challenged my self-limiting beliefs?
3) Share your goal to create accountability:
With your winning circle.
With your coach and mentors.
Go public - post your goals on social media!
Update your accountability partners regularly (a sub-set of the above?).
Embrace their feedback and challenges.
4) Create a process to break your goal down:
Use the GiFT631 1+3+6 process.
Go big/SMUUT in terms of the 1.
Set 3 sub-goals or milestones.
Create your 6 next best actions.
Take the first one.
Then the next one - be consistent!
5) Create some visual representations of your goal:
Vision board.
Screensavers.
Other visual reminders - place them where you see them frequently.
Visualise - see yourself achieving your goal.
6) Pick a song that links to the goal (or create a playlist). 🎶🦅🎵
7) Schedule (time-block) time to focus on the goal:
Make sure it is when your energy is great.
Avoid interruptions or disruption.
Make sure your phone/notifications are switched off or on silent.
8) Debrief on your actions to find improvement:
Analyse the root cause of success and disappointment.
Make adjustments to accelerate your progress.
9) Set clear milestones and celebration points. 🎉🦅🎉
10) Start!
Take immediate action.
Be consistent in taking goal focused actions.
Remove any downhill habits that prevent you being at your best/stop you focusing on your goal.
👉Let me have your improvements/additions/thoughts so we can all benefit and learn from your wisdom.
