The last month has flown (as have I)!
A combination of high quality client work in the UK (England, Scotland and Northern Ireland) as well as Australia, book launches on both sides of the world and a big strategic call to reinvest my time and energy into my signature one day event entitled #whatwinnersdo.
Energy as well as time management has been crucial.
To do this, particularly given the significantly changing sleep patterns, I have eaten well, remained hydrated and doubled down on some of my key winning habits and routines: extra movement (my son Tom and I nailing 45,824 steps around London on his birthday), meditation, Mozart time and self-development. So few people consistently invest in their own development and growth - I believe this is a source of competitive advantage. I also spent time away from work knocking off a couple of great museums, going to see Les Misérables in the West End and reading crime fiction - finding time to do more of what I love when the heat is on is critical to the way I handle pressure. It gives me a better sense of perspective and balance.
Another huge highlight was the UK launch of the book, in Edinburgh Scotland. It was brilliant to work with old friends to create a special evening, very different to the one in Brisbane. Given the book was inspired by Sir Richard Branson using the Virgin Money Store made it extra special.
I also believe those who ‘work the book’ as oppose to just reading The Rocking Chair Test, will move in the direction of their goals, aspirations and dreams. You can grab copies here, as well as in other Amazon and IngramSpark markets:

You can get a sense of the value of the book, from the reprise video from the Brisbane launch:
By looking after my health and wellbeing, as well as having clarity of purpose and goal for each session, I believe the quality of my work has hit an all time high. As well as clarity, consistency in terms of my core delivery, constantly debriefing, tweaking and improving has all added to this.
I believe we all want mastery in our chosen profession and passion and this comes from the set up, the debrief and hardwork - constantly putting ourselves into the arena and stretching further from the comfort zone.
Delivering a senior leadership version of #whatwinnersdo at the ICC in Belfast, Northern Island was an absolute highlight of the last month. It was definitely a stretch from my comfort zone, taking the core of the #whatwinnersdo content and adding in a leadership layer, so it remained relevant to the audience.
On the way back from the UK (& flying from one side of the world to the other certainly provides so much extra Mozart/big thinking time) was when I decided to recommit to #whatwinnersdo and go to more cities, more frequently. Adelaide is top of my Australian list and Belfast/Manchester are up there in the UK.
If you live and or work in any of those cities please do give me a shout.
The one area I put on hold was writing articles for substack along with doing further work on my 2nd and 3rd books. The 2nd one picks up the story from the last chapter of The Rocking Chair Test. It is entitled ‘Find the 13 Runs’ and is about my own search to reach my potential and brings in so many learnings from the wonderful people I have interviewed.
The third book is the one Leona has always wanted me to right. Titled ‘Dare2Soar’ it is my take on brilliant sales/service leadership.
A few more things to look out for over the next 18 months:
A podcast to extend my conversations with some incredible people.
The 4M Club - taking my morning routine to the next level.
Event631 - a bigger, bolder festival of learning.
I just need a few more international flights and all the details will be fleshed out!!
Next week, I return to writing as the summit has been climbed and some creative space has re-emerged.
